TWO local visual artists are currently exhibiting their work at an international festival. Tina Waller and Sheila Pearce were selected to stage an exhibition of their photographic work at the Black/North SEAS International Festival, in Skegness.

AFTER we published a mystery football photograph that we thought was taken in the late 1950s or early 1960s, Andy Layton James got in touch. Andy recognised his father, James Alexander (Jock) Smith, on the photograph, although he didn't know the name of the team.

Hpv Jab 'Poses No Danger' ; Parents Reassured Following Death of 14-Year-Old Schoolgirl

HEALTH bosses are urging parents not to refuse their daughters the HPV vaccine after a 14-year-old Coventry schoolgirl died shortly after receiving the jab. The national media has reported how Natalie Morton, a student at Blue Coat Church of England School, died in hospital after receiving the Cervarix jab.

WE would like to say a big thank you to Cllr Doug Pickett for our new street lighting in Barry Avenue, Grimsby. What a difference it has made. You have certainly been an active councillor in this area and we hope that you will continue to represent us.

Lottery Funding Could Assure Future

IN reply to E Miller's letter about converting the former Lindsey Lower School on Clee Road into a museum and art gallery (September 24), you wonder whether the council or an investor would "have access to money that would be needed to assure its long-term future". Surely, however, this is the kind of project for which a Heritage Lottery Bid could be put together? The problem when this was discussed for Welholme Galleries was that the council only owned the building on a lease, giving a quest...

Fantastic Job

I WOULD like to nominate BM Windows, of Grimsby, for excellent service. It has recently installed new windows for me and I have never seen such brilliant workmanship.
