'Town Were Shambolic' ; Your Say
HAVING witnessed yet another shambolic performance at Blundell Park, we all once again fear for the survival of GTFC. The appalling season last year is being followed by yet another truly awful set of results, culminating in the meltdown against Aldershot.
Louth Continue Fine Early-Season Form ; Soccer
LOUTH Town strengthened their position at the top of the Central Midlands League Supreme Division with a comprehensive 5-1 home demolition of Kimberley Town on Bank Holiday Monday. Town went into the game buoyed by Saturday's victory over Newark Town, knowing that a win would extend their lead at the top of the table.
Frost and Farrow the Clear Winners at Croxby ; Athletics
THE latest event in the Croxby road race series was won by East Hull Harrier Jon Frost in 24 minutes and two seconds. The 23-year-old was the clear winner in the hilly 4.4-mile race.
Teachers Get Ready - Kids Are Coming ; Hear Say Accuracy
I FEEL sorry for teachers. I know what you're thinking.
Adults Fail to Behave Themselves ; Hear Say Accuracy
THERE must have been something in the air on Saturday. Something that was causing friction at places with "Park" in their name.
When Bargains Aren't Good Value ; Hear Say Accuracy
"LOOK, mum" said my eight-year-old goddaughter, "these biscuits are from Marks and Spensive". Maybe so, but they were very nice.

Flats No Good for Winter Gardens Site ; Viewpoint
I SEE from the Grimsby Telegraph that the Winter Gardens has come up again, so it looks like we are going to have flats built again. So sad because there are far too many flats. The owners said they would have sooner have sold the land; the council won't let the land because of the taxpayers' money.
Don't Tar Us with Blame ; Viewpoint
I DO believe that one is jumping to conclusions somewhat and rather hastily in their rush to tar Whitby with a smelly black substance that has washed up on the beach at Cleethorpes (Grimsby Telegraph, August 18). For us in the older generation like myself will remember that this particular incident is nothing new to this stretch of the coastline.
