Clee Cons Catch the Home Men Off Guard at the Top

VISITORS Clee Cons B were victorious in a close match against Clee Home Guard when the top sides in the Roy Ling Mutual Grimsby Snooker Doubles League clashed. Danny Rock, Dave Darwent, Jon Steel, Mick Bridge, Mark Goss and Mike Dowling all shared their frames with home players Craig Taylor, Peter Dyke-French, Fred Parker, Keith Southwell, Ian Sadler and Steve Bloomfield.

Oliver Takes Tom Award ; Racing

JOCKEY Oliver Williams has been named by Market Rasen Racecourse as its Tom Halliday Memorial Scholar for 2009-10. Oliver, from Nettleton, near Market Rasen, will be supported by the racecourse for the next year, receiving help and coaching in a number of areas plus the assistance of the Northern Racing College, and access to advice on areas such as media training.
