A LOCALLY-owned horse has secured a top ten finish at the Grand National. Backstage, which is owned by the North Lincolnshire-based Middleham Park Racing (MPR) syndicate, was among the bookmakers' favourites at the start of the race.

It made it around the course amid sweltering conditions, but finished well behind eventual winner Ballabriggs.
