A CAMPAIGN for more blood donors in the county saw thousands of people sign up in just a week, new figures have revealed.
NHS Blood Transplant (NHSBT) said the week-long project in mid- June saw 1,821 Lincolnshire residents who had not donated before make an appointment to give blood. Details of how many people came forward during National Blood Week have just been released. The call for more donors came after NHSBT registered a 20 per cent drop in young regular donors over the past decade, raising concerns for the stability of blood stocks in the future.See the full content of this document
