In answer to the query in Barfly about the first Chinese restaurant in Scunthorpe, it was the Yuen Hong, in about 1957. It was in Ravendale Street, situated next to what is now Jack Fultons.
I believe the second was the Ching Wah in Cole Street where the Chinese shop is now. There was also one in the Majestic Cinema in the early sixties.See the full content of this document
