Summary
I AM writing concerning the changing allegiances of Councillor Jon-Paul Howarth, who was elected as a Liberal Democrat for the East Marsh ward, then defected to the Labour Party.
He subsequently voted against Labour's motion to oust Lib Dem councillors DeFreitas and McCabe from their posts as leader and deputy leader respectively. Resulting from this action, he resigned from the Labour Party and is currently an independent councillor. Fair enough, these were his choices.See the full content of this document
