North Lincolnshire Council's scrutiny panel has conducted a review into the declaration and administration of the count following the district election and national referendum, which were held on May 5. As reported, a prolonged verification process for votes cast in the Alternative Vote referendum meant counting of votes in the council election did not begin until 5am.
