Summary
THE local music scene was alive and kicking in Marshchapel last week - and raised Pounds 1,500 for the village church. Organised by Marshchapel Arts Society, Grimsby-born professional saxophonist Richard Pardy, along with the renowned Leo Solomon Trio, brought an evening of jazz to remember in the village.
They christened the new stage in St Mary's Church and treated locals to an eclectic mix of Richard Pardy's favourite numbers from different eras. The concert kicked off with the jazz standard Autumn Leaves followed by the funky beats of Herbie Hancock's Cantaloupe Island and George and Ira Gershwin's masterpiece Foggy Day.See the full content of this document
