HUMBERSIDE Police logged into forums and social networking sites to halt riots spreading into North East Lincolnshire.
Officers set a firm example by arresting a 21-year-old Grimsby man on Thursday night to deter network-users from promoting rioting and looting following the violent scenes elsewhere in the country. He was due to appear before Grimsby magistrates today charged with violent disorder. Police said they were monitoring sites and forums closely and would take "decisive action" to prevent violence. It is understood Divisional Intelligence Branch officers have also encountered hoaxtype postings on sites.See the full content of this document
