IF YOU do make the worthwhile trip to see the grey seals at Donna Nook, the Black Horse is well worth popping into on the way back.

My girlfriend and I worked up quite an appetite walking on the beach at Donna Nook surrounded by incredibly cute and surprisingly noisy seals so on the drive back to Grimsby, I kept my eyes peeled for a quaint country pub. If you blink you might miss it, but on the A1031 there is a small, brown sign directing you to the Black Horse Inn in Mill Lane, Grainthorpe, so we swerved down the dark lane and into the car park - a decision we wouldn't regret.
