THIS council actually likes street clutter, so is unlikely to provide any facility for the public to report unnecessary signage, as they are now being urged to do by the Government.
This being the case, I suggest that the Telegraph takes the lead and dedicates a small section of its Viewpoint page for readers to register signs, including traffic lights and traffic "calming" devices, which serve no useful purpose except to annoy and confuse road users. The council can then be periodically quizzed to see which, if any, suggestions it has acted upon and to explain if it has failed to respond.See the full content of this document
