RETIRED nurse Margaret Evans is celebrating her own victory in her battle to make more than 100 crocheted poppies in three days for schoolchildren.
She helped raise Pounds 216 for Help For Heroes by making the distinctive handmade poppies for children at Nunsthorpe Community Primary School. The pupils and staff paid Pounds 2 for each poppy, which will be worn proudly in the run-up to Remembrance Day on Friday.See the full content of this document
