y recent excursions in Vauxhall's new Astra Sports Tourer (these pages three weeks ago) reawakened my enthusiasm for estate cars; so I came to this week's test car - Saab's refreshed 9-3 estate (in this case called a SportWagon) with much enthusiasm.
It wasn't misplaced. Another recent road test, in the new 9-5 saloon, had already convinced me the fortunes of the Swedish car company were on the upturn after the takeover last August by Dutch sports car maker Spyker.
