THE councillors of tomorrow were talking about their generation at an annual conference to mark Local Democracy week.
Members of the Council for Young People delivered a number of activities at Grimsby Town Hall, including discussions, presentations and workshops on issues such as the school curriculum, homelessness, politics and disability. Pupils from local secondary schools, academies and colleges attended at the event, which was designed to encourage young people to become involved with their council. Callum Stanland, 16, and Beth Vincent, 14, both of Wintringham School, were among the estimated 150 pupils at the event.See the full content of this document
